JRD´ART CAMP
Our aim is to link to project HRANICA/HATÁR and to continue fulfilling the idea of growing together and tightening cross-border relationships with the help of art and themes which are mutual for whole visegrad region. The goal is conception of a creative space in an unconventional space which is a remnant fo a collective national economy from our past. Abandoned space of a former Agricultural Cooperative VČELINCE is situated 9km from the border with Hungary and it is one of many scattered across the post-socialist block. This sad memorial is for ten days at a disposal of artists and will become a place for creative collaboration of designers, painters, sculptors, street-artists, musicians, actors, dancers and filmmakers. The aim of artists is to be an artistic confrontation of past (embodied by environment), present (embodied by the creative potential of participating artists) and future which is created by our everyday actions. At artists'disposal is the whole area of the collective and material it contains. Through their site-specific creation, this place will gain a new communication value and it will exhibit the inhabitants of border areas new, creative view on past and their own existence.
